New Full Length Magic Mike Trailer Shows Us More Love Story And More Moves
So we were pretty happy when the teaser trailer of Magic Mike dropped day before yesterday. But as promised, the full length version premiered last night and blew the shorter clip out of the water. It opens with a longer look at the Alex Pettyfer and Channing Tatum cop-stripper scene we saw on the teaser complete with the line, “Do you have anything sharp on you that I could stick myself with do you? [No.] Good, because I do.” We see more of shirtless Matthew McConaughey in some truly cringeworthy cheesy scenes where he tells a crowd of screaming women, in his trademark drawl, “… The law says you cannot touch. But I think I see a lot of law breakers up in this house.”
But more importantly, we see more scenes between Channing’s character (Mike) and Pettyfer’s onscreen sister, Cody Horn, who plays Magic Mike’s love interest. And through these interactions we find out what Mike’s real love is — custom furniture. That’s his master plan. We kid you not. But Channing Tatum is seriously likeable, and has moves that make our muscles hurt by just watching them, so we’re sold regardless. Watch the trailer. The Steven Soderbergh film airs June 29 but we’ve put it on our “must-watch” list.
